Do I need an account?
No. Enter a nickname and start playing — no sign-up.
How do I invite a friend?
Create a game and copy the invite link from the lobby. Your friend opens the link and joins.
What are open games?
Public rooms listed on Open Games. Anyone can join without a room code or password.
Can I play against a computer?
Yes. Use Play Bot and choose Easy, Medium, or Hard.
Can others watch?
Yes. Share the separate spectator link (up to 10 viewers by default).
Does it work on mobile? Which languages are supported?
Yes — the site works on desktop and mobile, with English, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, and Arabic.
Why use MorrisLive instead of large board-game sites?
Large sites are excellent for rated play and accounts. MorrisLive is optimized for instant friend games of Nine Men's Morris: no sign-up, share a link, optional room password, open tables, or a bot — with less social and ratings noise.
Are games fair? Who controls the clock?
Yes. The server validates every action and owns the clocks. Clients only display state. Disconnects pause your clock with a grace period before forfeit; reconnecting with your session restores your seat.
Is MorrisLive private and safe?
You only need a nickname — no account email. Passwords are hashed, there is no free-text chat (preset phrases only), rooms expire, invite links are not indexed as public pages, and room creation is rate-limited. See Privacy and Terms for details.
Do you show ads or use advertising cookies?
Advertising is optional and env-gated. When advertising is enabled, Google AdSense (or similar) may use cookies or advertising identifiers as described in our Privacy Policy and Google's partner-sites policy. When ads are disabled, you may see placeholders instead of live ads.
How does privacy work without an account?
You play with a guest nickname only — no email sign-up. We store temporary game data, session tokens in your browser, and IP addresses for rate limiting. Room passwords are hashed. See the Privacy Policy for collection, retention, and advertising details.
How do I contact MorrisLive?

Which languages does the site support?
The product UI is available in English, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, and Arabic. Invite and watch links are language-neutral — open them in any supported locale.
What is the difference between spectators and players?
Players sit in the two seats and make moves. Spectators open the separate watch link, follow the game live, and do not take a seat (default cap is about 10 viewers). Share the play link only with someone who should play.
What do the bot difficulties mean?
Play Bot offers Easy, Medium, and Hard computer opponents on the same rules and clocks as human games. Harder levels take stronger moves; pick Easy to learn the board, Hard for a tougher workout.
How do room passwords and open games work?
On Create Game you can set an optional password so only people who know it can take a seat, or check Open to anyone to list the room on Open Games without a password. Private invite links still work either way; open listing is an explicit choice.
